Kurv sets the bar high in Newstead

Cavcorp, the developer behind Nundah’s Parkside Apartments has submitted a DA to build a six level boutique mixed use tower at 31 Longland Street, Newstead known as ‘Kurv’.

The unique design, which has been crafted by Orbit Architecture will feature two glass bottom pools on the level 6 skydeck as well as recreation and barbecue facilities.

The design of Kurv has raised the bar for architecture in Brisbane’s inner city. It has resisted the usual ‘box envelope’ shape while also continuing podium lines from the neighbouring brick character building.

Kurv also includes:

  • Five levels of 55 apartments

  • 30 – 2 bedroom apartments
  • 92 car spaces

Cavcorp are also undertaking a similar boutique residential development called Como Teneriffe (below) which is now nearing completion. The development comprises of 93 one, two and three bedroom apartments across 10 levels. The tower is equipped with a 15m lap pool and gymnasium.

Such a impressive design! I can’t wait to see this one built. Innovative Pools! & I think the roof top BBQ area makes so much sense. Finally Brisbane’s Fringe is getting some boutique buildings with a bit of BOOM!
