Designed by Cottee Parker, the project intends to provide suites, rather than self-contained units, to tourists, travellers or persons associated with the adjacent Prince Charles Hospital / St Vincent’s Private Hospital (i.e. visitors, out patients and medical professionals).

The short-term accommodation is proposed as suites (as compared to serviced apartments), with the operator to be a major brand.

According to the development application, the development will provide a diversity of accommodation that is needed in this location.

“There are very few short-term accommodation options within Brisbane outside of the inner city area and Airport and therefore this development presents the opportunity to broaden the short-term offering in a well-located position in proximity of the Chermside Principal Centre and the Prince Charles Hospital / St Vincent’s Private Hospital.” – Development application.

The hotel would feature guest and administration facilities including café, function spaces, pool and gym, rooftop recreation space, and manager’s office.

Just another thing to further gridlock the Gympie Rd/Hamilton Rd intersection.

It is horrendous now. If you increase development, you have to increase supporting infrastructure.

I was just about to say the same thing.
That intersection particularly Hamilton road will need to get at least the timing increased to allow more traffic through, before construction starts.

That area is already loaded with units and cars exiting and entering the adjacent side streets are in a position of danger just driving to get on to H road. 75 car spaces for a building of over 170 rooms is ridiculous. Parking a vehicle around there is already very difficult.
    This news is terrible
