Azure Development Group has secured a 5.2-hectare site in Buderim on the Sunshine Coast for a $182 million residential project, marking the company’s first foray into the region as it looks to help meet growing housing demand across South East Queensland.
The project would deliver 206 new terrace-style residences with a mix of one, two, three, and four-bedroom homes aimed at catering to a broad demographic, including first homebuyers, downsizers and families. The site is located at 67 and 77 Power Road, Buderim.
Azure Director Trent Keirnan said the project represents an important step in expanding the company’s footprint north of Brisbane.
“At Azure, our focus has always been on delivering homes and communities people are proud to call home,” he said. “We recognise the growing demand for quality housing across South East Queensland, and this project reflects our commitment to delivering thoughtful, well-designed homes that respond to that need.”

Keirnan added that the Buderim location was carefully chosen for both its convenience and lifestyle potential.
“This new site will introduce much-needed housing to a market currently under significant pressure,” he said. “It’s a first-class location with the potential to offer both lifestyle and convenience to future residents.”
The proposed development would feature extensive communal facilities aimed at encouraging a balanced, community-focused lifestyle. These include a large resort-style pool with sun lounges and cabanas, a steam room, sauna, hot and cold plunges, gym, pickleball court, work-from-home spaces, a recreation pavilion and a communal lawn.
“We’ve designed this project to encourage and foster a healthy, balanced lifestyle, all with the benefits of an Azure Community where our residents don’t need to lift a finger,” said Keirnan. “It’s about giving people spaces to relax, move, connect, and feel at home – whether they’re enjoying the facilities or getting to know their neighbours.”
Architecturally, the development would reflect a contemporary coastal village style, incorporating timber, stone, and render materials within a subtropical landscaped setting.
The site also benefits from proximity to Sunshine Coast University, Sunshine Coast University Hospital, Mooloolaba Beach and Sippy Downs Town Centre.
This new project adds to Azure’s growing development pipeline, which now exceeds $2 billion in value. The company has already delivered or is currently constructing more than 400 homes across the Moreton Bay region as part of its northern expansion.
