The fully sold out five-star Mondrian hotel and residential apartment towers planned for Burleigh Heads in Queensland, has commenced construction with contractors commencing demolition of the White Horses, Glistening Waters and Burleigh Court buildings on site.

The $200,000,000 construction job is set to take 26 months and will generate over 500 jobs for the Gold Coast Construction sector.

Sale contracts on all 84 apartments at The Mondrian Gold Coast Private Residences valued at $231,000,000 have now been signed with 10% deposits paid following an intense selling period, in which waiting lists of potential purchasers continued to grow.

The prestige branded residential apartment tower that will sit beside and be serviced by a separate five-star Mondrian Hotel is being developed by Chris & Letitia Vitale of Vitale Property Group with the Hotel being managed under a 20 year agreement by world-leading hospitality group Accor.

Mondrian Gold Coast Hotel and Private Residences is Accor’s first Mondrian offering for Australia and is part of the group’s strategic global expansion of the Mondrian brand to some of the most exciting cultural destinations in the world.

The 25-level residential tower, comprising of 84 two, three and four-bedroom apartments, including 9 sky homes and 11 penthouses, have full access to the adjacent hotel’s five-star services and amenities, including 24-hour room service, concierge and private driver, while also enjoying the privacy of residents-only amenities in their own building.

Mondrian Gold Coast Private Residences located oceanfront at 50 The Esplanade, Burleigh Heads, achieved $231 million in sales within six months, completely selling out all apartments, with prices starting from $799,000 for two-bedroom apartments, through to $3,800,000 for three-bedroom sky homes, with four-bedroom penthouses upwards of $4,890,000, to the ultimate full-floor penthouses starting at $10,500,000.

Smashing any and all records across the Gold Coast, sale highlights in the project include:

  • Two full floor penthouses sold at $10,500,000 and $11,700,000
  • Two sub penthouses sold for $7,450,000 and $8,500,000
  • Six sub penthouses sold over $5,200,000
  • Eight sky homes sold for over $4,000,000

A high level of inquiry was received from all over Australia and overseas, with the majority of purchasers coming from Queensland (70%), and in particular the Gold Coast, with Gold Coast locals accounting for more than 60% of apartment sales. Buyers from Sydney made up 10% of the apartment sales while the remaining 20% were from Melbourne.

The local vote of confidence is testament to the quality of the Mondrian Gold Coast being developed by Chris and Letitia Vitale of Vitale Property Group, whose vision for the large 4037sqm site has hit the mark with Australia’s prestige property buyers.

“Mondrian Gold Coast Residences offer a level of amenity that is unmatched on the Gold Coast, so we anticipated our buyers would recognise this as a unique opportunity,” they said.

“The beachfront location is prime and deserving of a premium luxury hotel brand and we are thrilled to be partnering with Accor to deliver their first Mondrian five-star hotel and branded residential development in Australia.

“We are pleased with the outstanding results our sales and marketing teams achieved in such a short timeframe and are looking forward to delivering a world class development on the site.”

The sale of the Mondrian Gold Coast Private Residences was managed by luxury apartment marketing agency TOTAL Property Group, whose team handled over 4,200 inquiries to achieve a full sell-out within months.

TOTAL Property Group Managing Director Adrian Parsons says achieving a sell-out with all contracts signed and deposits paid in less than six months is a remarkable achievement that can be credited to the high level of quality and amenity that the Vitale Property Group will be delivering at Mondrian Gold Coast’s five star hotel and private residences.

“The sales campaign for Mondrian Gold Coast Private Residences has been hugely successful, but this development is completely unique and beyond anything else available on the market and buyers of prestige property responded quickly,” he said.

“There was no time for delay for those interested in buying an apartment at Mondrian Gold Coast Private Residences as there were waiting lists for many of the apartments.

“The quality of this development speaks for itself and prestige property purchasers have recognized The Mondrian Gold Coast Private Residences as a premium product with extra advantages provided by five-star branded residences.”

Mondrian Gold Coast is being developed at 50 The Esplanade at world-famous Burleigh Heads, with 80 metres of ocean frontage offering guests and residents easy access to the signature white sands of Burleigh Heads Beach, while world-class restaurants, cafes and boutique stores, and the iconic Burleigh Heads National Park, are all within a short walking distance.

Comprising of a private residential tower of 84 apartments and a separate hotel tower with 208 guestrooms, Mondrian Gold Coast’s two towers will be united by a three-level podium that acts as the building’s common space and hub of activity, including a state-of-the-art fitness centre, spa, restaurant, and swimming pool.

Mondrian Gold Coast residents will enjoy full access to five-star hotel amenities and services, including a concierge, 24-hour room service and personal driver while also enjoying the privacy of residents-only amenities in their own building.
