Earthworks have commenced on 15 Green Square Close, Fortitude Valley which is being developed by The City of Brisbane Investment Corporation Pty Ltd (CBIC). The $123 million dollar CBIC is an investment entity set up by the Brisbane City Council to provide further revenue for Brisbane ratepayers, a similar investment vehicle as the Queensland Government’s Queensland Investment Corporation. Last year the Brisbane Times reported that the CBIC recorded a $34m profit which will go back into the BCC budget.

15 Green Square Close is a 12 storey commercial tower and has been designed by Cottee Parker Architects. The tower is expected to achieve a 5 star green star sustainability rating. It is situated in the Green Square office precinct which has a large Brisbane City Council commercial office presence.
