Developer Aria has submitted a new DA to build a 20 storey residential development comprising of 180 apartments located at 109 Melbourne Street, South Brisbane. 

Projects stats:

  • 1 Bed – 80 units
  • 1 Bed + Study – 5 units
  • 2 Bed + 1 Bath – 35 units
  • 2 Bed + 2 Bath – 60 units Total – 180 units

Designed by Tony Owen Partners Architects, the project includes two retail tenancies along Melbourne Street and two along Fish Lane.

A cross-block link from Melbourne Street to Fish Lane is also planned.

Retail tenancies and café / restaurant uses plan to activate the ground plane and spill into the laneway and cross-block link.

Through the design of the retail spaces on Melbourne Street and the provision of grand facades upon entry, the development intends to attract high quality retail premises from the CBD.

A rooftop pool, bar, barbeque area and outdoor cinema is proposed on level 20. Deep planting is also proposed for the podium level while horizontal green walls are proposed to break up the podium façade.
