Bastion Property Group’s $160 million Chevron Island project, Nera Residences, has secured $79 million in sales just months after launch, with 60% of the project already sold.
The project, located at 8–10 Parneno Street on Chevron Island, features a mix of 81 boutique apartments, six sky homes, and a full-floor penthouse. It is expected to be completed in 2027, with construction now underway following early site works and piling.
Interest has been strong from both local and interstate buyers, with project marketer ONE:PM noting a notable shift in demand toward high-end, permanent living options on the Gold Coast.
“The response has been incredible,” said Alex De Vincentiis, Managing Director of ONE:PM. “Interest is coming from both locals and those looking to make the Gold Coast home.”
The development’s location, just moments from Surfers Paradise Beach, combines inner-city proximity with the more village-style rhythm of Chevron Island. Walkable access to light rail, dining and retail adds to its appeal for lifestyle buyers.
Nera’s amenity offering is set entirely on the rooftop, with plans including a yoga deck, ocean-facing infinity pool, luxury spa, ice bath, and a full fitness centre. Bastion’s intention, according to CEO Alex Wood, is to offer a “sanctuary above the city.”
Design collaborators include architect Issa Shnoudi, designer Joe Snell, Michelin-starred chef Shaun Rankin, and Living Dream Kitchens, reflecting Bastion’s broader strategy of folding high-end hospitality, interiors, and architecture into its residential projects.
The project also references the Nerang River in both name and design language. “We’ve aimed to create a residence that not only delivers exceptional quality but pays tribute to the Nerang River and its surroundings,” said Wood.
Construction is being delivered in-house through Bastion Built. According to Bastion’s Construction Manager Nathan Burden, basement retention is currently being finalised, with preparations for the tower’s foundation now progressing. The construction team has been assembled in partnership with BDA Architecture, EMF, and EDG Engineers.
“We’re refining the final design details to ensure Nera takes shape exactly as envisioned,” said Burden.
With piling now complete and major structure works on the horizon, the project appears on track for its targeted 2027 delivery.
