The University of Queensland and Cbus Property have today announced an agreement that would end UQ’s appeal process.
The project which had already received all relevant approvals to proceed has now got the University’s nod of approval.
UQ Chief Operating Officer Greg Pringle said the agreement was a result of collaborative discussions between the two parties, seeking to resolve the university’s concerns related to Customs House.
“We are pleased that Cbus Property have agreed to change the profile of the building, by reducing the external car parking area.”
Meanwhile the developer of the newly completed 1 William Street, Cbus Property have released more images of it’s proposed 443 Queen Street residential development which is set to launch this Saturday.
CBRE Residential Projects Managing Director Paul Barratt says the enquiry to date has been very high with strong local and interstate interest on Brisbane’s first CBD riverfront development in 12 years.
“The project has been very well received by the market especially from local owner occupier and downsizers who are attracted by the large size of the apartments, the riverfront location and the unique subtropical architecture, amenities and internal finishes.”
“Many of the consultants involved directly on the project, from the developer to the architects themselves as well as sales agents are all buying into the project to live in.”
“This proves that what has been created here is truly something special and is something that I certainly haven’t seen before in the Brisbane market.”
Mr Barratt says that due to high levels of interest in the project, it is encouraged that interested parties should register before this Saturday’s launch to avoid missing out on specific unit types.
“To manage the logistics of such a significant launch the four-bedroom apartments were released three weeks prior to launch and have achieved over $30 million in sales with prices ranging from $1.95M to $3M”.
“This weekend we release the one and two bedroom apartments and with over 100 expression of interests accompanied by $5K reservation fees we are expecting a strong start”.
“Cbus Property are already looking for an alternative space for the sales gallery as construction is expected to start in April 2017 off the back of strong presales at record prices”.
Cbus Property has revealed a fly-through video of what the proposed building will look like.
