Woolloongabba’s largest development project to date has been proposed for the high growth activity centre.
DA SUBMITTED: BT Hotels and Property Group have submitted a proposal to build a large development comprised of three residential towers with heights of 30, 25 and 20 storeys. The proposal is in accordance with the SEQ Regional Plan which lists Woolloongabba as a Major Activity Node. Shown below is the proposed Cross River Rail route which is going to be located directly opposite this new development, which is why this project is allowed to have greater heights.
Short term accommodation has also been proposed. The DA number for this development is: A003071741
The three towers will have a total of 502 one and two bedroom apartments.

The development has been designed by Kris Kowalski Architects, who also designed Baroque Tower, 212 Margaret St, Vue Apartments and SOHO – West End. The project has three street frontages Hubert, Reid and Stanley Streets. The redevelopment will also extend the Chalk Hotel to be incorporated into the overall project, while a total of 1,400sqm of retail space is planned throughout the development.
