A development application has been submitted for a seven storey residential development located at 22-30 Gallway Street, Windsor.

Proposed by Mosaic Property Group Pty Ltd, the development comprises of 56 residential apartments in the following configuration:

  • 41 x 2 bedroom apartments
  • 15 x 3 bedroom apartments

According to Mosaic Property Group, the design illustrates a well-articulated and composite architectural form, sensitive to the presiding character, built on the principles of subtropical design.

A communal open space area with outdoor dining is planned for the roof which will also include landscaping.

The proposal has specifically adopted design measures which ensures the building has a strong and positive interface with the street and reduces negative impacts on neighbouring properties. Particular focus of the building design was on providing a high level of articulation, variation and quality materials coupled with a strong focus on subtropical design in response to Brisbane’s idyllic climate. The proposal has also been designed in accordance with Council’s Buildings that Breathe Guideline.

The proposed dwelling units have been carefully designed to ensure residents are afforded a high level of amenity. The units are appropriately oriented to capitalise on access to natural sunlight and breeze, and large private open space areas promote outdoor subtropical living. The allocation of landscaping and deep planting throughout the site softens the built form, contributes positively to the amenity and the subtropical climate and presents an integrated landscape character outcome to Gallway Street.
