Gold Coast based developer Azzura Investments has launched Monarch Place, the second stage of its Imperial Square master planned precinct in Southport, a multi stage development with a total end value of approximately $3.8 billion.
Monarch Place would comprise a 30 storey residential tower delivering 237 apartments, including one, two and three bedroom configurations, along with three penthouses located at the top of the building. Apartments are priced from $825,000, according to the developer.
The project forms part of Azzura’s broader Imperial Square site at the corner of Meron Street and Ferry Road, adjacent to the TRYP by Wyndham Southport Hotel, which anchors the first stage of the precinct known as Regal Residences.

Following Monarch Place, Azzura has indicated it intends to consolidate the remaining land within Imperial Square to deliver the final stage, Majesty, an approved 108 storey tower proposed to reach approximately 358 metres in height. If delivered as approved, the tower would exceed the height of Q1 and become the tallest tower in Australasia.
Monarch Place would include a substantial shared amenities offering, with approximately 4,000 square metres of communal facilities proposed across a single podium level. The amenity spaces would include a lagoon style pool, wellness facilities, indoor recreation areas, private dining and entertainment spaces, and resident lounge areas.
A hotel component is also proposed within the building, with 63 hotel rooms located on Level 5. Hotel guests would have access to selected shared amenities, including a gymnasium within the podium levels.

The development has been designed by Frank Raunik, with interior architecture by Lauren Joy in collaboration with Hexa Design. The project integrates residential, hospitality and lifestyle uses within a single vertical structure.
A dedicated medical component forms part of the scheme, with Level 1 proposed to accommodate 23 medical suites. The developer has confirmed that 15 of these suites have already been sold to medical specialists.
At ground level, Monarch Place would include a retail offering comprising 12 shops, intended to activate the street frontage and provide services to residents, hotel guests and the surrounding Southport area.
Platform Construction has been appointed as builder for Monarch Place, following its delivery of the first stage of Imperial Square. The developer has indicated the project is now moving into the delivery phase following its launch.
