An application has been submitted for a boutique three storey retail building for 26 Wandoo Street, Fortitude Valley by the Cazzolato Family which is known as ‘The Biscuit Factory’.

Designed by DC8 Studio, the intent of the proposal is to accommodate a broad suite of uses available to provide flexibility for future tenancy arrangements.

According to the development application, possible uses include an art gallery, restaurant, bar, cooking school or office & shop.

The proposal includes two separated rooftop terrace areas, with each including toilet facilities.

    The architecture is great, and a big improvement. The only drawback is they’ve left a vehicle loading dock at the front which will detract from the active frontage and footpath, it shouldn’t be allowed when there is rear lane access. Hopefully it can be converted to another shop in future.
