Local Brisbane property developer Turrisi Properties has announced the official unveiling of INK Apartments, located on the edge of the Kurilpa riverfront masterplan with the vision to bring creative apartment living to life in the precinct.

Following the successful sell-out and completion of The Glass Factory in West End, INK Apartments, located at 215 Montague Rd, West End is set to continue the Queensland property developer’s success within Brisbane’s Inner South.

Designed by renowned national architecture firm, RotheLowman and marketed by CBRE Residential Projects Brisbane, INK will offer a diverse range of apartment types in a boutique eight storey building consisting of 107 apartments. One, two, three, three bedroom plus multipurpose room and courtyard apartments will be available along with a handful of skyhomes from $383,000.

INK is located on the corner of Montague Road and Donkin Street, on the edge of the Kurilpa Master Plan precinct which will be Brisbane’s largest inner-city renewal precinct in two decades.

According to Paul Barratt, CBRE Residential Projects Brisbane, INK is perfectly positioned at the right time and in the right place to take advantage of a potential huge value upswing.

“With Brisbane unit prices now 30-40% cheaper than Sydney, prices are all but certain to increase as the market corrects itself, so buying on the doorstep of this huge urban renewal precinct at a time when prices are affordable makes a lot of sense”,

“The Kurilpa masterplan will mean 13,000m2 of new open riverfront parkland with amphitheatres, new cultural facilities, lively neighbourhoods with bustling cafes and restaurants as well as new extended City Glider services through the precinct.”

Turrisi Properties was attracted to the site because of the expansive northeast frontage with prime views to the city and feels this prime location will appeal to owner-occupiers and investors alike.

“The precinct west of Montague Road between Donkin Street and Davies Park has always been on our radar, as it offers the best of everything with it’s close proximity to the Brisbane River, Davies Park and is an easy stroll to bustling Boundary Street”, said Ben Jobber, Development Manager, Turrisi Properties.

The $60m development has been designed to perfectly capture and celebrate the eclectic nature of the locality – the industrial warehouses juxtaposed with the ‘Victorian Era’ houses which line the streets of West End. This translates to a beautifully proportioned all-white tower, set atop a dark brick and tile podium.

“The architectural language draws heavily on the eclectic nature of the remnant historical built-form to influence and guide the design”, said Jeff Brown, Principal Architect, RotheLowman.

The interiors have followed the same design methodology, creating common areas of the lobby and corridors to the apartment layouts where sophistication and opulence take precedence.

“Traditional “Queenslander Vernacular” motifs and materials provide a sense of boutique character”, said Jeff Brown.

INK will also deliver “the perfect backyard” with an exclusive residents roof level recreation space including pool and BBQ area. “The shape, form and materiality of the space has grown out of an understanding of all things Brisbane; simplicity and ease in a subtropical landscape.”

INK will officially unveil with a VIP launch on the 28th March 2015.

A display suite has been constructed on-site and will open for preview appointments starting 27th February 2015.

Brisbane City Council approved the development earlier this month, with construction planned to commence in late 2015.
