A development application has been submitted for a new Tiffany & Co flagship store at Queens Plaza that will replace the old Louis Vuitton store location.

According to planners Urbis, the relocation of Tiffany & Co will result in alterations to the front façade of both Queen Street and Edward Street to align with the relevant branding of Tiffany & Co.

“The design intends to create visual interest and articulation through incorporating a high-quality wall art treatment alongside the glazing. The façade will incorporate various formats of jewellery displays, complementing the overall design of the shopfront and contributing towards the pedestrian experience along Queen and Edward Streets.” – Urbis

The proposal incorporates a much larger entrance on Edward Street creating the illusion of one large façade, rather than 2 separate frontages.

The proposal will also include an internal fit out to the suit the operational aspect of the brand, as well as an updated entrance accessible from the internal walkway in Queens Plaza.

Further, it is proposed that no part of the shopfront will extend past the property boundary, and that any impact on the pedestrian traffic will be minimal while construction is being carried out. It is anticipated that Council can condition a construction management plan (minor) as part of an approval.
