developer Pellicano Group has unveiled a rooftop plunge pool and spa at its Eastwood Apartments development now under construction at Woolloongabba, as part of the latest sales drive at the luxury $43 million project.

The Eastwood rooftop garden will come complete with a sun deck, BBQ facilities, al fresco big screen cinema and private rooftop plunge pool and spa.

Pellicano Group joint managing director Nando Pellicano said the rooftop garden had been a significant selling point and the plunge pool and spa was an important addition to the array of resort style amenities already on offer at Eastwood Apartments.

“Eastwood Apartments is all about appealing to lifestyle buyers in inner Brisbane,” said Mr Pellicano.

“The rooftop garden will provide an exclusive retreat – a place for residents to relax and unwind – a concept that’s been hugely popular already in Melbourne and Sydney.

“There will be a grassed sun lounge area with seating and lounges directly adjacent to the pool and an outdoor shower to cool off after sunbaking.”

A central seating pavilion and BBQ area will separate the plunge pool and spa from the outdoor cinema, which will be set with causal beanbag seating, to maintain the privacy of those relaxing in the spa and prevent disturbance of those watching the cinema.

“Residents can check out the latest  movies on the big screen complete with individual headphones to preserve the peace and tranquillity of fellow rooftop dwellers,” said Mr Pellicano.

Located at the northern end of the rooftop, the plunge pool and spa enjoys views directly across the Brisbane CBD and eastern suburbs.

“Residents will be able to enjoy the panoramic views of the Brisbane city skyline from the exclusive rooftop setting,” he said.

“This is a concept that is new to Brisbane and to be able to enjoy this kind of escapism at home, in the heart of an employment hub, just 3 kilometres from the city centre, is extremely rare.”

The eight-level Eastwood Apartments, which commenced construction in May, will comprise 82 studio, one, two and three bedroom apartments, with remaining apartments priced from $339,000, including a secure car space.

The building features a contemporary  metropolitan design and offers close  proximity to the hospital precincts at Mater, Princess Alexandra and Greenslopes, as well as the CBD and South Bank.

Mr Pellicano said the edgy design combined with the abundance of on-site leisure facilities and ground floor retail precinct would fit in some of Melbourne or Sydney’s trendiest precincts, like Carlton or Woolloomooloo.

“Pellicano Group strives to deliver the best in thoughtful contemporary architecture with enviable access to wining, dining, shopping and transport,” he said.

“Eastwood Apartments is an example of our commitment to bringing the best in apartment living and amenity, equal to anything in the southern capitals,  to Brisbane.”

360 Project Marketing sales manager Bryce O’Connor, who is marketing Eastwood, said Woolloongabba  was emerging as one of inner Brisbane’s hubs for entertainment and dining, boutique shopping and vibrant live music.

” Woolloongabba is on the move and with the cultural centre, the Valley and the CBD on its doorstep, Eastwood offers all the convenience of inner city living without the traffic and noise,” he said.

“It’s surrounded by an array of chic wining and dining establishments and boutique stores, including one of the finest antique shops in Brisbane and with the Gabba just down the road, Eastwood has everything for a fabulous contemporary Brisbane lifestyle.”

As the first new residential development under the new Woolloongabba Centre Neighbourhood Plan, Eastwood represents a rare opportunity to purchase a new property with a secure car park,  particularly in an area that has been earmarked for significant urban renewal and growth.

“Strong buyer demand has continued with more than $25 million in sales already achieved and the development on track for completion in late 2013 ,” Mr O’Connor said.

The new Eastwood Apartments sales and display centre is open between 10am and 4pm, seven days a week and is  located opposite the development at 130 Logan Road, Woolloongabba.
