David Devine, through DD Living, has appointed Gowdie Management Group to deliver the $535 million Burly Residences, a luxury apartment development on a 2,024sqm double beachfront site at The Esplanade in North Burleigh.

The 25-storey development, featuring 40 metres of beachfront, has completed early works including demolition, services relocation, and basement retention. Gowdie Management Group has now commenced the next stages of construction, with completion anticipated in 2027.

Gowdie Management Group Director John Gowdie expressed enthusiasm for the project, describing Burly Residences as “a masterpiece of coastal luxury designed by the acclaimed Koichi Takada Architects that promises to be Burleigh’s most distinguished address.”

David Devine highlighted the decision to work with Gowdie Management Group, saying, “When we started looking at who was best placed to deliver Burly Residences in the current market, one name kept being recommended: John Gowdie. We are pleased to be working with a construction company of such high calibre for the delivery of Burly Residences to the elite standard we designed.”

The development will include 101 two-, three-, and four-bedroom apartments ranging from 116sqm to 743sqm. Generous balconies, up to 106sqm in the three-bedroom configurations, provide additional entertaining spaces. Current listings are priced from $2,405,500 to $13,895,300, with the premium Skyhome Collection starting at $7,302,633.

Amenities are spread across two levels and include swimming pools, a gymnasium, Peloton room, steam room, sauna, yoga and Pilates lounge, private cinema, barbecue area, formal and casual dining spaces, a teppanyaki bar, private office, executive lounge, and pool deck.

TOTAL Property Group Managing Director Adrian Parsons commented, “A landmark beachfront building of this calibre requires a top-tier builder with strong capabilities, and prestige property buyers have comfort in knowing GMG has been appointed.”

Completion of Burly Residences is forecast for 2027.
