Construction has started on luxury six-star residential apartment building Burly Residences with demolition of two old apartment buildings on The Esplanade in North Burleigh clearing the way for the neighbouring sites to be amalgamated into one double 2024sqm site with 40 metres of beachfront frontage.

The $510million Burly Residences planned for the exclusive and tightly held owner-occupier enclave of North Burleigh is being delivered by leading veteran residential developer David Devine and his team DD Living, who are also progressing on the six-star Royale Gold Coast, under construction in another elite residential beachfront strip of Northcliffe Terrace in Surfers Paradise.

Demolition of the two old neighbouring apartment buildings at 264 and 268 The Esplanade in North Burleigh is expected to be completed by the end of May, with works to follow that will see the 2024sqm site transformed into Burly Residences’ 25-level six-star luxury apartment building.

With 40 metres of beachfront frontage on The Esplanade, Burly Residences offers 101 prestigious two, three and four-bedroom apartments with two levels dedicated to extensive six-star resort and lifestyle amenities that meet demand for large home-sized apartments on the beach with six-star luxury and amenity.

The sale of the Burly Residences is being managed by luxury apartment marketing agency TOTAL Property Group, whose team is handling a high level of inquiry from Australians and international buyers. They said the majority of purchasers buying into Burly Residences have come from Queensland (50%), of which half are Gold Coast locals.

Victorian buyers have purchased 23% of apartments sold at Burly, 13% of buyers are from New South Wales, 3% are from ACT and 10% come from overseas.

“Burly Residences offers a level of amenity and apartment quality that is unmatched on the Gold Coast, and savvy buyers are recognising this as a unique opportunity in the sought-after North Burleigh location,” TOTAL Property Group Managing Director Adrian Parsons said.

“The apartments and their residential amenity are beyond anything else currently available on the market in the quieter beachfront area of North Burleigh and prestige property purchasers are responding.

“The six-star amenities DD Living is planning for this residential building are equivalent to a six-star resort hotel in the world’s most premier locations. The amenities and facilities are worldclass offering unparalleled lifestyle for the sophisticated purchaser.

“Then there is the premium beachfront location of North Burleigh Beach where Burly is positioned with an exceptional 40m of ocean frontage – that translates to beachfront apartments with wide-open vistas across parkland, to the beach and ocean, and depending on the aspect, north towards Surfers Paradise and/or south to Coolangatta and Tweed Heads, that will never be built out.

“The Burleigh Head National Park is just a short walk south along the beach to the famous Burleigh Heads surf break and bustling boutique shopping village with a broad selection of restaurants, cafes, clubs and entertainment.

“The quality of this development speaks for itself and prestige property purchasers have recognised Burly Residences as an opportunity for a premium apartment on a premium Gold Coast beach with the best six-star amenity available.”

Burly Residences is being developed by DD Living in North Burleigh, the exclusive owner-occupier location just north of the world-famous Burleigh Heads, offering 101 prestigious two, three and four-bedroom apartments across 25 levels with two levels dedicated to extensive six-star resort amenities.

Impressive interiors have been designed by award-winning interior design studio Mim Design in collaboration with Burly Residence’s award-winning architect Koichi Takada to deliver a luxury residential apartment development beyond anything else on the market in Burleigh.

Mr Devine shares the excitement of demolition with Burly Residences’ apartment purchasers and says levelling the two older buildings was the end of an era to make way for a brand new one designed specifically for owner occupiers seeking six star living on the beach.

He said 268 The Esplanade was now cleared with the demolition crew in the final stages of bringing down 266 for the highly anticipated amalgamation into the large double site for the development of Burly Residences.

“When we secured two neighbouring sites with beach frontage on The Esplanade in North Burleigh, it was apparent to us that Burly required an impeccable landmark design, and we are pleased with the result from Koichi Takada.

“I am thrilled to see progress on site and eagerly await the milestones as it is transformed into Burly Residences over the coming years. Burly has been designed in response to the premium beachfront location – a coastal glamour that is carried through to the interiors with the very best elements of beach living blended into cosmopolitan sophistication and elegance.”

Burly Residences apartments are among the largest brand-new apartments available on the Gold Coast, ranging in size from 141sqm to a stunning 735sqm gross, which is significantly larger than most other developments targeting the top end owner-occupier market.

Large entertainer balconies ranging in sizes up to over 100sqm extend the living space outdoors in apartments, while residents have full and exclusive access to six-star luxury resort amenities across two whole floors stepping up from the ground lobby complete with concierge.

A focus on premium six-star amenities to meet demand from prestige property buyers include swimming pools, sun beds, barbecue areas, pool deck, casual and formal dining, kitchen, bar, private office space, an executive lounge and wellness centre with gymnasium, steam room, sauna and designated space for yoga, Pilates and Peloton workouts.

Prices start at $2.2million for a two-bedroom apartment at Burly Residences, $8.8million for a three-bedroom private residence, with options for large floorplans incorporating multipurpose rooms. A collection of single level four-bedroom penthouses is now on the market, starting at $13,608,000.

The Burleigh Residences Sales Gallery is located upstairs in the North Burleigh Surf Life Saving Club at 293 The Esplanade, North Burleigh, Gold Coast and is open daily.
