Abcor Property Trust has lodged a DA for an 18 level commercial tower situated at 47 – 49 Cordelia Street, South Brisbane.

According to the DA submission:

  • The tower has a total NLA of 17,568 sqm
  • 198 carparks across four basement levels
  • Ground floor retail tenancy

Really?? Are the banks going to finance this in the city-fringe when there is so much Agrade available in the CBD and Bowen Hills is coming?
The numbers dont stack up for me.
I give it very slim odds of ever seeing the light of day as a commercial-only project.

PS that laneway idea although commendable is on the wrong side of the site to be of any use to anyone.
Shift it and align better with the SW1 throughway. Plus give people a reason to use it, exploit the incredibly wide yet quite Manning Street.

No. Not a nice design at all. Every balcony looks like a cage. Could be made far more attractive if the balconies were open and not like a prison.
