The site is located next to the Mincom Central building on Turbot street. The Brisbane City Council have approved the tower which has been designed by architecture firm Bligh Voller Nield and will include the development of a pedestrian thoroughfare between Turbot and Ann streets.
After years of square box construction in Brisbane, this tower is tipped to become an iconic office building for Brisbane’s CBD with its unique design formulating various different shapes including the slanted roof design, which will minimise shadowing onto King George Square.
Daisho recently made a few brief DA modifications to it’s ground level features while the rest of the design remains unchanged.
The iconic silver glass curtain facade which is planned for Brisbane’s Daisho tower was also used in the 16 level Kita Aoyama development in Tokyo-Japan. The tower will also help remove car spaces from the Mincom site and promote the use of mass transit options.
The development group have developed and bought asset properties around the Asia-Pacific region including Australia, Japan and Malaysia.
Approval is still pending however construction is set to begin mid next year with completion around 2013. Located below are the latest images of the proposed design.
